City should rev up enforcement I APPLAUD Mayor Menino’s initiative to post no-smoking signs at Boston’s playgrounds (Metro, Oct. 28). If the mayor were interested in protecting children from the ill effects of air pollution, he would also communicate and enforce the state’s no-idling regulation. Vehicle idling is rampant in and around Boston, but no one in City Hall seems to think it is a problem.
