Frank responds to critique of financial reform IN HIS Dec. 12 op-ed “Frank leaves, just as flaws in bill come to light,’’ attacking the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, John E. Sununu continues the Republican practice of blaming others for Republican mistakes. As a senator, Sununu was a member of the Republican majority that controlled Congress from 1995 through 2006 and that did nothing to address the problems he mentions such as “oversight of mortgage standards and their securitization’’ and, most glaringly, regulation of “government-sponsored entities like Fannie Mae.’’
