When it comes to hiring Boston’s next city clerk, maybe a nationwide search isn’t necessary. But how about a city-wide search or even a City Hall-wide one? Forget about it. Maureen Feeney set herself up for the job when she quietly resigned her council position without telling the Dorchester district she represents. The council looks different than it used to. But the thinking on matters like this unchanged. Feeney can count on former colleagues to support her quest.
