”Who is the real Mitt Romney,” is the question some voters may still be asking. Now, there are hundreds of people who know Romney better than I do. But sometimes it can be more instructive to know someone through a few private moments, rather than many public moments. Such was the case for me in 2002, when I spent two months driving Romney to and from events during his campaign for governor of Massachusetts. What did I learn about the real Mitt Romney?
