During a deployment ceremony of the 772nd Military Police Company, Massachusetts National Guard, on Taunton Green, a tearful Morgan Riddick, 3, of Woonsocket, R.I., was pulled away from his father, Thomas (left), on Oct. 29. Thomas Riddick is among 180 soldiers who left after the ceremony for a year of deployment in Iraq. The unit will be responsible for training, mentoring, and coaching Iraqi Police.
