Sean Wilentz probably won't be dining at the Skocpols'

Theda Skocpol, of Harvard's government and sociology departments, has issued her review of Sean Wilentz's Newsweek piece (which purports to offer "advice" to Obama yet somehow ends up recycling the criticisms the Clinton supporter has been making all year against the candidate):

[A]ny of us from the progressive side of academia who runs into Sean Wilentz after that execrable smear-job … should cross to the other side of the street and keep moving!

It comes at the end of a piece, titled "The Election of Our Lives," calling on everyone of a progressive persuasion to throw themselves behind Obama -- and on reporters to make the public aware of the stakes of this election.
