Setting the Scene

In downtown Boston after work? Stick around for a taste of wine.

It used to be that when the sun set, the Financial District turned into a ghost town. But with the new Brix Wine Shop on Broad Street holding free tastings every Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., there's a reason to stick around the neighborhood. Brix on Broad is bigger and sleeker than the original shop in the South End. It also has a kitchen, so along with the shop's staff pouring tastes, guest chefs whip up snacks to match.
