Returning from a trip to Martha's Vineyard on Easter, I disembarked from the ferry at Woods Hole and noticed several orange safety cones in the pedestrian lane near the ferry administrative building. Though I was walking across dry pavement, it wasn't until I was a bit closer that I noticed one of the cones was printed with the words "wet floor." At that moment, a furry tan and black husky-shepherd mix stopped at the cone, apparently to let everyone know that he knew exactly what the sign said, and promptly lifted his leg upon it.

Thanks, Stranger

About two months ago, I was watching TV when I got a call from the police. An officer asked if I had lost my wallet in the vicinity of North Station. I didn't even realize it was gone. I went downtown to retrieve my wallet. Nothing was missing. The officer did not know who turned it in. He was driving by North Station when someone stopped him and gave him the wallet. To whomever that honest person was, I'm grateful and made a donation to St. Anthony Shrine in his honor.
