Alongside the gorgeous Persian carpets, Canadian smoked meats, and homemade Middle Eastern salads in the brilliantly, selectively stocked Walnut Market in Newton Highlands sit dozens of beers from around the world. Picked by the shop's enthusiast owner, Moe Khalaj, the selection just might spoil you. Per-bottle prices start at $6 but shoot quickly to wine levels; the costliest beer, the $47 Deus, Brut des Flandres, is made in Belgium, then aged in France using champagne-making techniques. If you're anything like Khalaj, you might lose your taste for the supermarket stuff. "I can never go back," he says.
