Good Show

On a recent Sunday evening, I was driving my scooter by the Rings Fountain in one of the Wharf District Parks, part of the Rose Kennedy Greenway. I had to stop because a little Jack Russell terrier was making quite a scene, chasing the water columns that spout up into the air. He would jump as high as he could, twisting and turning to try to catch the spouts. As one disappeared, he'd chase another one. A couple of children joined him, and a crowd gathered around, laughing and taking pictures. The owner tried to catch the little circus dog, but he was not ready to leave. Finally, the dog was leashed, and as he and his owner started on their way, the crowd applauded.

DON'T CATCH ANYTHING
I was driving home in the pouring rain in Belmont. As I approached a red light, I came upon a 4x4 truck hauling a powerboat on a trailer. Imagine my surprise when I saw a diehard sport fisherman "fishing" off the back of his boat as we drove up. I think he'd had too much to drink.
