Fashion designers are revisiting the ’80s for fall, and as seen here around town, the color message is coming in loud and clear. “Neon is timeless, ageless, and lifts your spirits,” says Louise Ciampi, owner of the color-packed Clothware boutique in Harvard Square. Her top sellers are shocking-pink rain ponchos and umbrellas to perk you up on a bleak day, as well as jewelry and scarves in versatile neon/neutral mixes. Electric shades of lime, fuchsia, purple, and orange add pop to any wardrobe. But in Boston, we’re also happy going bright on red.
