Pop culture has put the vamp back in vampire, and the fashion industry is biting. “True Blood has been a huge influence on the sexy dark look for fall,” says Liz Korn, co-owner of the edgy Pure Boutique, new to Copley Place. “It’s a more glamorous Gothic,” she adds, with crimson and purple accents, crosses and wings replacing skulls, and a softer, fitted silhouette for men and women. Fabrics are also dressier, Korn notes, often with a subtle sheen. As seen here around town, locals are swooning (or should we say New Moon-ing?) over this bloody popular trend.
