When it comes to ladylike party frocks, revealing less is always more. “High, wide necklines are appropriate for any occasion,” says local designer Denise Hajjar, whose elegant namesake boutique is located in Boston’s Fairmont Copley Plaza. “And they beautifully accentuate the shoulders, a great feature to show off.” Hajjar likes the way silk charmeuse drapes in jewel, bateau, and cowl necks, with asymmetrical cuts the most dramatic this season. “Just add any length necklace or a brooch off to the side.” As seen here around town, the style is head and shoulders above the rest.
