Goth gloom and doom is fashion history. As seen here around town, medieval motifs are lightening up on men’s casual threads this season. “It went from negative and dark to a classier look,” says Liz Korn, owner of the streetwise Pure boutique in Copley Place. Heraldic crests, lettering, crosses, and wings are used in more artistic, sometimes witty ways. And they mix easily with other trends, like military influences or whisker-washed jeans, adds Korn. Who’d have thought it would be so hip to look Middle-Aged?
