For trendy kids, hippie days are here again. “Boho chic has trickled down from women’s fashions and been re-created for preteens,” says Ellen Gentile-Scelfo, manager of the tons-of-fun Kgirl boutique in Wellesley. As seen here around town, that translates into hand-dyed fabric prints in colorful tanks, peasant tops, and accessories. Girls today shop for one standout piece that makes the outfit, says Gentile-Scelfo. “And scarves are very important. They’ve learned it’s an inexpensive way to jazz up their wardrobes. We have moms buy them, too.” Guess everyone is tie-dyeing one on these days.
