Miss Conduct, radio luv doc

Posted by Robin Abrahams February 12, 2008 12:58 PM

I'll be on
* WZLX (100.7 FM) this Wednesday morning at 7:50 a.m, and
* WFNX (101.7) on Valentine's Day, Thursday, at 6:36 a.m.,

to dispense ... oh, I don't know, to dispense something about Valentine's Day. Wisdom, perhaps; maybe just silly jokes. Should be fun!

What these people don't know is that I am the most Valentine-deprived spouse in the world. Mr. Improbable attends the American Association for the Advancement of Science annual meeting every year, which is always scheduled--you guessed it--over Valentine's Day. Thursday night he'll be off at an international science writers' reception or something like that, and I'll be home sharing chips and salsa with Milo and watching "Lost."

But hey, I really don't care. Holidays shouldn't be the one time of year you're romantic, or thankful, or or whatever the holiday is about. It should be the time of year that helps you remember to incorporate those values, every day.

As long as Mr. Improbable and I enjoy great chemistry--and biology--I don't care if he spends February 14th enjoying, well, chemistry and biology.
