Songs for my dog
Fellow pet owners, do you sing to your pet? I bet you do. I make up songs for Milo all the time, especially when Mr. Improbable is gone and it's just me and Little Big Dog. When he is curled up in his chair:

And when that terrier energy just -- won't -- quit:

Some people went to play with him
Not knowing what he was
And now they have to play with him forever

Thank you for making my morning by posting pictures of your ADORABLE dog!
I would love to get a dog some day, but at this stage in my life, I'm just not home enough to take care of one so I don't want to be cruel and get one anyway.
In the meantime, I LOVE watching the dogs in the Common and all over Boston.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for Milo!
Robin says: Thanks! It was a long time before I was settled enough to have a dog. Good for you for waiting--you're doing the right thing. In the meantime, though, if you have friends with dogs, they'd probably love it if you'd "borrow" theirs for a while, for a walk or playdate.
My dog is Winnie, so she frequently hears:
Winnie the pooch, Winnie the pooch
Tubby little puppy all stuffed with fluff she's
Winnie the pooch, Winnie the pooch
Silly, willy, nilly old dog...

I sing to my kitten Mortimer all the time and change the lyrics to existing songs.

Aussies are serious dogs -- you don't sing to an Aussie, the Aussie sings to you.

Every time you post pictures of Milo I feel I'm looking at my dog, Kash. It's incredible how much they look alike!
Robin says: Are you the person who sent me a picture once? I got a picture from a reader this winter with a very Miloey dog.
Is Kash a rat terrier? Milo is allegedly part rat terrier, part Jack Russell and part basenji.
