On Sunday, April 5th from 10am – 5pm, the Design Hive, Cambridge’s indie designers market, will be hosting “Get Green & Groovy” in celebration of Earth Day. In addition to our regular music-meets-market mashup, over 60 local designers will be featuring products made from salvaged and recycled materials while Boston Rebel Sound spins the latest R&B and hip hop tracks.

In addition, Fashion With Impact will host a fashion show at 1pm and adorn the runway with recycled fashions including the debut of its Re/fash-en collection - unique garments made from recycled fabrics. Plus, Autonomie Project, a new Boston-based fair trade fashion company, will have artists on-hand to help shoppers design and paint their own eco-friendly Ethletic custom footwear and screen print their own t-shirts.

I'll be there! Design Hive is great, I've blogged about it before. Even if you can't afford to shop, it's a cool and funky place to wander around, enjoying the music and the creativity and laid-back neighborhood vibe. Come by!
