Remember back when I wrote a relatively uncontroversial column saying that "girls' (or boys')" nights or weekends are a good thing for married people?

And then I got a question asking, what if one of the "girls" is married to a girl herself? Which I answered here?

Yet a new twist has emerged.

Another Girls Weekend Question:

This one is related to including a less than 1 year old baby. When planning the gathering, no specific language was shared about whether the baby was "invited" or not, nor did the recent mama specifically ask whether or not her baby was welcome. This has created some tension in the group. Most of us believe it's inappropriate to bring a baby to our laid-back gathering, including the other mother in the group. We all love this little baby girl but she is on solid foods and has another parent available to spend the weekend with her. It's understandable for a new mom to be anxious about leaving her baby but we treasure our girls time together and feel the presence of the baby will not be conducive to our overall enjoyment of the trip. Any advice would be appreciated!

What do you think, dear readers? I'll post my thoughts on Friday. And come back on Wednesday for a live chat from noon-1pm!
