Mr. Draper graduated from Saugus High School in 1957 and then enrolled in an apprentice program at General Electric in Lynn.
He worked as a GE manufacturing engineer for more than 40 years. He retired in 2001, but continued to work as a consultant for another Lynn company for the past six years.
He was a member of the Elfun club at General Electric and the William Sutton Masonic Lodge.
His wife of 47 years, Sandra E. (Erickson), said that he loved his job and that engineering was his biggest hobby. Mr. Draper also enjoyed traveling, particularly by train.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Kimberly M. Woods and Candace E. Medeiros, both of Saugus; one brother, Lawrence of Florida; a sister, Louise Birch of Florida; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Cliftondale Congregational Church in Saugus. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Saugus.
She was 70 and had lived in Braintree and Duxbury. Mrs. Kemp was born in Boston and raised in Hull and Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School.
Amid raising her family, Mrs. Kemp spent much of her time volunteering and working for Catholic parishes.
While living in Braintree, Mrs. Kemp volunteered for Sacred Heart Parish in Weymouth as a master teacher for the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program.
She moved to Duxbury in the early 1980s and began working as an administrator for parishes in Plymouth and Brockton. She retired in 2003.
Mrs. Kemp enjoyed reading and gathering with family and friends, her family said.
She often spent her summers on Sampson's Pond in South Carver.
She was married to the late James W. Kemp.
Mrs. Kemp leaves two sons, James Jr. of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Colin Kemp of Westlake, Ohio; three daughters, Robin Bornstein of Westwood, Kristen Szeman of Boston, and Amanda Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, John T. Tirrell of Bridgewater; a sister, Bernice McDonald of West Quincy; and nine grandchildren.
