The first woman to be elected as Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor, Ms. Knoll was a Democratic veteran who served two terms as state treasurer and who will be replaced by the Senate President Pro Tempore Joseph B. Scarnati III, a Republican, as the state's second in command.

HUNT, Tom - In Dallas, Tuesday, at 85. The nephew of famed oilman H.L. Hunt, Mr. Hunt helped turn Hunt Petroleum into a billion-dollar company when he served as chairman.
