John McGinty, UBS financial analyst and hard-working world-traveler; 65
Analyzing the farm equipment industry meant getting out of the office and going to places all over the country, which meant John McGinty spent more than 30 years going from airport to airport as an analyst for financial investment departments at places such as First Boston Corp., Credit Suisse, and UBS. He knew everything about the companies he analyzed, down to the names of the owner’s children at dealerships around the country. Mr. McGinty died Oct. 14.
