Babson College has announced the hiring of Josh MacArthur as its new athletic director.
MacArthur has served as the Associate Director of Athletics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore for the past four years. Before that he spent seven years at Dartmouth College, working in two positions within athletic facilities and operations, as well as one year at the University of Pennsylvania.
“We are very excited to have Josh here at Babson,” said Carol Hacker, Associate Vice President of Student and Community Services. “His commitment to planning and evaluation, staff development, and the experience for student-athletes and the overall community of recreation users is beyond comparison.
“He is committed to the Division 3 philosophy and has successfully balanced this with a competitive program for all teams at JHU. He understands fully the demands of a rigorous academic program and articulates the value of not only intercollegiate athletics, but also recreation and wellness, for a successful overall student experience."
MacArthur starts August 7.
