It's an upscale restaurant separated by only a door and a glass wall from an upscale boutique.
Restaurant Pava, attached to the boutique Tess and Carlos, is an unusual hybrid for the suburbs that has settled in Newton Centre.
Carlos Pava and wife Tess Enright started off in the fashion business, with stores in Harvard Square and on Newbury St., and have expanded into the food business.
``Say you come in to the store with your husband," Pava says in a Globe story today. "He's bored. He comes in; we serve him a glass of wine. And we serve him at the same level as we serve our fashion clients. Upscale. Exclusive. One on one."
