Carol Fernandez of Newton takes issue with the idea that big government is at the root of the problems with the Big Dig.
She writes in a Letter to the Editor today that it's actually a case of "private industry that saw a government project as its feeding trough."
Mark Bridger of Newton, in a similar vein, says columnist Jeff Jacoby, in criticizing the public sector for Big Dig troubles, was ignoring recent corporate scandals.
Anthony Munchak of Newton wrote about a different topic. He says columnist Derrick Jackson doesn't seem to want skyscrapers downtown and doesn't seem to want suburban sprawl. That's left him wondering where Jackson thinks building should be allowed.
