Nature art

NEWTON

Two Newton men received high praise when their work was chosen to be the public display at a nature center in Texas.

The work by Ralph Helmick and Stuart Schecter was chosen out of 133 submissions to be displayed at the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve.

Members of the art panel were excited by the decision. "It was a reflection of what would be expected in a nature center," Bob Drotman, a member of the panel, told the Plano Courier Star Community Newspapers.
