Now today in the Globe comes a debate: is the new SAT format really fair? The new version, which now features a writing portion, lasts almost four hours. The Globe reports today that an overall decline in this year's scores may prompt the College Board to examine whether or not students are getting too tired during the exam. Brad MacGowan, a guidance counselor at Newton North, thinks that's the case. ``I can't imagine anyone saying with a straight face that anybody at the end of a three-hour-and-45-minute test wouldn't be tired. I'm tired just thinking about it," he said.
