« Trash talking on the Internet | Main | Needles for 'Nawlins » Thursday, August 31, 2006Nepotism questions in WalthamWALTHAM Newly obtained documents reveal that Waltham's police chief and a deputy chief are at the center of allegations of nepotism and preferential treatment. An independent factfinder last spring raised concerns that Chief Edward Drew and Deputy Chief Keith MacPherson provided preferential treatment to family members on the force. The mayor had sent several matters in the report to the State Ethics Commission when the report was originally released in May. Both officers deny any wrongdoing. Globe West reports today. -- Stephanie V. Siek Posted by the Boston Globe City & Region Desk at 11:57 AM
