« Balser 2, Romney 0 | Main | Newton woman drowns » Friday, August 4, 2006Pedestrian hurt in WalthamWALTHAM A woman with a driver's permit lost control of a car this morning in Waltham, striking a man in his 30s and pinning him against a wall, Globe City and Region reporter John Ellement reports on the section's breaking news blog. The man was struck as he walked on Newton Street, according to Waltham police Captain William Stanton. Stanton said the 6:45 a.m. incident is still under investigation. He did not immediately have the age of the driver but said a licensed driver was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
