She says it was the first time she's been to a wedding as a member of The Old Guard, but it's not so bad being a member of that group. "The young people are celebrating the future and possibility. But they’re also nervous. Will their friends like their dates? How do they look? We, the middle-aged, have no nerves. We live in the now. We dance and we don’t care how foolish we look. We are celebrating that we are here, now, still having fun," she writes. Posted by the Boston Globe City & Region Desk at 10:15 PM
