Forbes has released its annual list of the 400 richest Americans. Massachusetts boasts 13 of the country's richest people. At least four of them call Globe West home:

1. Jim Davis, owner of New Balance
Hometown: Newton
Net worth: $2 billion
Ranked No. 160 by Forbes

2. Amar Gopal Bose, owner of Bose Corp.
Hometown: Framingham
Net worth: $1.5 billion
Ranked No. 242 by Forbes

3. Richard J. Egan, co-founder of EMC
Hometown: Hopkinton
Net worth: $1.3 billion
Ranked No. 297 by Forbes

4. Stephen R. Karp, real estate
Hometown: Weston
Net worth: $1 billion
Ranked No. 374 by Forbes
