Larry the bird falls out of his nest

During a neighborhood stroll one evening, my neighbor Dean, an avid Boston sports fan, beckoned me over to his yard. A baby robin had fallen out of its nest, and he had made a little home for it in a box. "Did you name him?" I asked. Grinning, Dean replied, "Yeah. Larry." It took me just a split second.
