Frank says capitalism isn't going out of style in his district

NEWTON

Congressman Barney Frank of Newton, who is expected to take over as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, says he's up to the task.

He tells WBZ-AM today that he doesn't agree with those who say Democrats don't understand capitalism.

After all, he said, he represents communities like Newton, Brookline, and Wellesley -- where capitalism is "hardly going out of style."

The Committee oversees the nationís housing and financial services sectors including banking, insurance, real estate, and securities.
