Thanksgiving is a time for appreciating families, and particularly Moms, but motherhood took it on the chin earlier this week when a breastfeeding mother was kicked off a Delta Airlines jet for feeding her hungry infant.
Delta apologized for the incident and reprimanded the flight attendant responsible, but not before it sparked a renewed debate about modesty, prudishness and the best thing for baby.
Ashland's own Manic Mommies, podcasters and bloggers Erin Kane and Kristin Brandt, have weighed in on the subject, with Erin trying to find a middle ground and admitting that "public nursing ... was never something I thoroughly enjoyed or felt entirely comfortable with."
"I did it out of necessity and love for my babies, and because I believed the medical research that proves breast is best," she wrote in a post this week.
