Three tractor-trailers collide on I-495

BOLTON

Truck parts were strewn all over one side of Interstate 495 northbound about 3:45 a.m. yesterday, but no injuries were reported in an accident involving three tractor-trailers one of which was a tandem.

According to state police, all four lanes just north of Route 117 were shut down until 6:40 a.m., with traffic diverted through the breakdown lane. Police identified the drivers as Youssry F. Ghandour, 49, of North Carolina; John T. Ostopick, 49, of Pennsylvania; and Robert A. Lowry, 58, of Georgia. State Highway Department crews were called in to pick up paint cans and debris on the road.
