Westborough shows how it's done

WESTBOROUGH

Two big mixed-use developments planned for Westborough, one underway downtown and another planned by the commuter rail station, might seem out of place so far west of Boston.

But developers and town officials say Westborough's push to steer growth to its small downtown and around its train line could show other exurban towns how to pursue "smart growth," the Globe reports today.
