A sobering thought in Plainville
PLAINVILLE
Patrons at Plainville bars will have an extra hour to process their New Years Eve drinks before they're pushed outside into the cold.
Selectmen last week voted to extend the closing time for local taverns from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m., just for the night. Last call, however, will still be at 12:30 a.m.
"That gives people an hour and a half to have some coffee," Town Administrator Joseph Fernandes said.
