Hudson voters pass override
Voters in Hudson Tuesday approved a $4.4-million property tax increase to pay for a senior center.
The debt exclusion override measure in Hudson passed with 3,882 votes in favor compared to 1,732 votes against. The town clerk, Joan Wordell, said there were also 78 blank ballots, and that turnout was very heavy.
The $4.4 million plan to renovate the center is meant to the facility's cramped space and fix problems like its out-of-date electrical system, but preserve the historical character of the house.
