Towns in western suburbs eye overrides

Posted by David Dahl, Regional Editor February 7, 2008 09:57 AM

At least a half dozen cities and towns west of Boston are considering overrides, according to this story in Globe West.

In addition to Newton's likely vote on a proposed $23.9-million property tax increase, officials in Wellesley, Wayland, Medfield, and Sudbury are strongly considering whether to seek permission to raise the tax levies in their towns.

Voters in Hudson on Tuesday passed a $4.4 million debt-exclusion override on Tuesday.
