Hamilton override stands
The margin of support for a $1,288,322 Proposition 2 ½ override for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District shifted in the Friday recount from the May 15 election in Hamilton, but not enough to change the result.
The override still passed by 35 votes, two fewer than were originally counted.
The recount for Hamilton's share of the district's $1,889,589 override was 1,420-1,385. The original count was 1,420-1,383 in favor.
The total figure for the school district override is $1,889,589. Wenham residents supported that town's $601,267 share of the override, 750-500.
