The women of Microsoft's NERD Center
Lili Cheng
General manager,
After a reorganization last year, Redmond-based Cheng was put in charge of about 15 people in Cambridge who focus on the ways that online social experiences may change Microsoft’s business. Cheng also oversees a project to make it easy for kids to learn programming, which she hopes might reverse the decline in the number of women studying computer science. “We want to give kids the tools to inspire their creativity and passion,’’ she said.
