The 'me first!' guy

We're not sure if this is a common problem, but at the top of ko2007's list of pet peeves is the co-worker who pushes his way to the front of the pack. He's first "out the door as we walk to a meeting. On an elevator. First in the office in the morning. First to go home. First to ask a question at the meeting — are we in FIRST grade or what???" he asks. Brs3 refers to a similar co-worker as the "early bird": "the guy who was there before anyone, and knows who got in when."
