A new set of responsibilities
LoPiccolo grew from sound designer to audio/visual director at Looking Glass, and soon found himself in the role of project director for a game called Thief.
Noting that at first he was pretty ignorant about the increased responsibilities of the job, he had a trial-by-fire of sorts, enduring "a huge amount of turnover, huge technical challenges ... it was white-knuckle until the end," says LoPiccolo. "It was pretty traumatic, but we were pretty proud of how the game came out."
