5. Having a messy office
Not everyone can be clean and organized, but hiring managers should have the common decency to clean up their office and make room for a candidate before the interview begins. Sinacole recalls clients that have said there wasn't even a place to sit.
The solution: Help the hiring manager clean up a bit. If there isn't a place to sit, dust off the chair quickly and remove any papers.
