On Jan. 28, 2009, the Marlborough-based maker of the Lunesta sleep drug said it would cut about 20 percent of its workforce, or 530 jobs, the Globe reported. The company said most of the cuts would come from field-based positions, leaving it with a sales force of about 1,325 after the restructuring moves. It said it would also eliminate some 410 contract sales positions.
