The struggling economy may be impacting the number of summer jobs available to high school and college-aged students, but there is at least one place in Massachusetts with summer employment opportunities to offer: Cape Cod.
Summer is high season on the Cape, and experience in its tourism industry offers skills – a fast-paced environment, public interaction, and spot problem solving – that can translate to careers in any field, according to Clare O'Connor, director of workforce development for the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
