The Boston Globe is launching a publication this fall called "Globe 100: The Top Places to Work" to highlight those organizations that excel at creating a dynamic, supportive, and inclusive workplace.
For 20 years, the Globe 100 has ranked Massachusetts businesses on their financial performance, but this publication will focus on the workplace.
And we'll need your help.
Over the next two months, the Globe and its partner, Workplace Dynamics LLC, will be taking nominations on the web at boston.com/topworkplaces, or by phone at 617-674-2289. Any employee from chief executive on down may nominate the company. There is no cost to participate, and every organization that takes part will receive feedback on its workplace.
To participate, organizations must have more than 100 employees in Massachusetts and register by May 30.
In June, the organizations' employees will complete a short survey about their workplace.
"Globe 100: The Top Places to Work," to be published in the Sunday Globe and online at Boston.com in November, builds on the success of the Globe 100, which since 1989 has chronicled the performance of the state's public companies.
"Especially in difficult economic times, people are looking to work at organizations that challenge them and treat them with respect," said Shirley Leung, the Globe's assistant managing editor for business. "A publication focused on different types of workplaces, such as nonprofit agencies and private companies, allows us to give readers better insight into the places we live and work."![]()
