AT CONVERGEX GROUP, going green means more than recycling. It means eating your veggies.

This year, the “green team’’ in the global technology firm’s Boston office decided to make it more convenient for 237 Massachusetts employees to get their fill of farm-grown produce. Every Thursday afternoon from June to November, a delivery arrives from Red Fire Farm in Granby — via tricycle — for the employees who signed up for community supported agriculture shares. Fruit lovers get berries, plums, apples, melons, and cherries; vegetable fans get corn, tomatoes, squash, peppers, beets, cabbage, and the list goes on.

“It’s been an education in vegetables,’’ said marketing manager Meghan Rocha, who pays $13 a week to split a veggie share.

Employees who didn’t sign up sometimes benefit, too — especially when a vacationing co-worker’s share lingers in the refrigerator.

“If it’s there long enough,’’ said quality assurance analyst Avi Meyers, “it’s up for grabs.’’
