Why I love my job

Ann Attaway, 52

Administrative manager, Brightview

"I've been with New Pond Village community in Walpole since before it opened in 1990. I started in a clerical role and now help manage the property. I will do anything I can do to make this a better place for residents and staff – anything from helping with the move-in process to giving personal tours of the facilities.

"New Pond Village is one of those special places that becomes a nice part of your life rather than a dreaded place you have to go to earn money. You feel the warmth and friendship between our residents, their families, and our staff when you walk in the door. When I leave for the day, I feel I've made a difference."
