Lululemon has yanked its popular black yoga pants from store shelves after it found that the sheer material used was revealing too much of its loyal customers, according to the Associated Press. The pants, which have become the standard for female yoga practitioners, were extremely popular, and fears over a shortage actually impacted the company’s stock price when the news was first released.

Before Lululemon, yoga pants came in a variety of styles. Here is a light-hearted look at yoga outfits through the years.

The Taiwanese supplier behind the see-through yoga pants recalled by Lululemon Athletica Inc. said it followed design specifications and the Canadian retailer had merely misjudged customer tastes.

Lululemon opened a store in Hingham in 2007 and, according to the Globe, demand was so high that keeping items in stock was a challenge.
